Guidelines for Visiting a Breeder

BlackBriar Bernedoodles is committed to breeding healthy, happy puppies that make superb family companions. Our breeding program is designed to produce puppies with excellent temperaments and conformation, robust health, and socially open personalities.

All our puppies are raised in our home with love and care. They are socialized with children and other pets to ensure they are well-adjusted and ready for their new homes when it's time for them to leave us.

We welcome visitors to come meet us and our puppies. Visits may happen when puppies are old enough to safely have visitors - when they have some immunity to common diseases. This is usually after five weeks of age.

 Here are some guidelines for visiting BlackBriar to ensure a good experience for all:

2. Do not visit vet clinics, pet stores, animal shelters, your neighbor's dogs, dog parks, or any areas where dogs can be found. This is to minimize the accidental introduction of diseases that can be carried on hands, clothing, and shoes.

1. Be punctual. A breeding program runs on a tight schedule. In order to make sure you have sufficient time with pups and do not intrude into another family's time, it's important to be on time.

5. Children must be seated to hold a puppy. Young children are often unsure about how to put a puppy down if the pups is a little squirmy. Keeping children and puppies alike in a safe, comfortable space requires some attention from the adults who are present to prevent mishaps.
